Yes. Design tools expose their models to scripts — AutoLISP and the .NET API for AutoCAD and Plant 3D, the SolidWorks and Inventor APIs, PML for AVEVA, and the Revit and Navisworks APIs. Typical jobs are bulk drawing updates, BOM and MTO extraction, piping spec checks, isometric generation and design configurators.
SAP ECC and S/4HANA purchasing data is where our product demo sits. Other ERPs are connected the same way: with an API key or full access, inside the ERP; without it, as much as possible from outside. The method is confirmed against your system and licence before anything is built.
